TRANSCRIPT:PLATFORM ■ 00/00/00 ■

The fan on the platform spins. A distant rumble starts to build. As Conrad steps onto the station, her phone rings.

[1] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
Hey, just a headsup. Try to be careful, okay? You know how Michel gets. You’ve already worked with him once.

See if you can get him to show next week. Ideally, grab the plate back from him. We need it to finish inventory.

[2] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
Yeah, I’ll handle it. What’s actually on those tapes anyway?

[3] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
Plates. I can’t really say...

She pauses, like she’s second-guessing herself.

[4] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
…but I trust you.

She sighs through her nose

[5] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
It’s experimental. A sort of... physical recall system.
You record movements onto the plate, and someone else can ‘play’ them back.

[6] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
Like a ghost.. That sounds sketchy.

[7] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
It is sketchy. It’s also effective. And Dad won’t let it go. Says the military applications are endless... or some bullshit like that..

Conrad looks around, seeing the faint light of the train in the distance.

[8] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
So he's got one of those? He's plenty capable on his own. I don't see the need.

[7] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
He walked off with one of them after your last job. Not sure if it was on purpose or just him being his... scattered self lately. I think You'll see for yourself.

[8] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
Great.

The rumble grows louder. A train rolls into the station, screeching slightly as it slows. Conrad steps back from the edge.

[9] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
Just get it back if you can. And if he gives you trouble, walk away. It’s not worth getting shot over.

[10] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
You always say stuff like that.

[11] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
And yet, somehow, you’re still alive.

A short silence between them, broken only by the train’s hiss as its doors slide open.

[12] 00/00/00 ▶ ANYA [BARAHA-LOGISTCS] :
...Call me when it’s done?
[13] 00/00/00 ▶ CONRAD [CLEANER-CONTRACTOR] :
Yeah. Talk soon.
